HTML Practice 1: Creating Recipe Page
This is the very first webpage I've created after finishing my HTML course. They say the best way to learn is
by doing,
so I'm putting my new knowledge into practice right away. My plan is to update this site every time I learn
something
new. For now, this is my very first build!
Adobo sa Luyang Dilaw
This dish uses the rich flavors of chicken combined with the peppery spiced flavor of turmeric and ginger, giving
the
overall dish its unique flavor.
Details
- Cooking Time: 60 minutes
- Difficulty: Easy
- Prep Time: 10 Mins
- Serves: 4 People(Depends on how many you will cook)
How to cook?
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp oil for frying
- 1/2 kg chicken, cut into serving-pcs.
- 1 2-inch pc luyang dilaw (turmeric), sliced thinly
- 1 2-inch pc ginger, sliced thinly
- 1 head garlic, crushed
- 1 pc bay leaf
- 1 pc Knorr chicken cube
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups water
Procedure
- Begin by frying the chicken pieces over high heat with a small amount of oil until they are brown. This
process is
called searing, and this adds flavour and color to the meat. Make sure that the meat pieces are not wet or
you will not
achieve the desired color you are looking for. Also, do not overcrowd the pot because the juices from the
meat will run
out and thus prevent the browning effect of the meat.
- The next step would be to drop all the ingredients in the same pot and bring the liquid to a boil. Bring
down the heat
to a simmer and slowly cook the chicken. Pour more water for a saucy adobo and cook further if you want a
drier adobo.
- With or without sauce, adobo will always be a comforting dish served any time of day especially when shared
with the
family.
